To accommodate different password management policies and procedures, Q2 Gro provides configurable controls that allow FIs to set their own password policies. Use the settings available on the Properties page, available by selecting Configuration > Advanced, to control password settings. You can set the following options:
-
Password complexity—sets the password complexity requirements for new users who create passwords and for existing users who change their passwords.
-
Password expiry—sets the number of days by which a user must rotate their password.
-
Password lockout duration—sets the number of minutes a user is locked out after exceeding the number of password attempts.
-
Lockout attempts—sets the number of password attempts after which a user is locked out.
You can also enable a configuration to send an email to users who have exceeded the maximum number of login attempts and are locked out to let them know when they can either attempt to log in again or attempt to reset their password.
