You can use the User lists feature to upload pre-curated groups of customers into the Q2 SMART application. Once uploaded, these lists act as fixed traits that can be added to a campaign using the User lists tab within the Trait workflow when building a campaign. To upload a user list or add users to a previously uploaded list, select User lists in the main side menu.
Note
A fixed trait is a trait where users are static and do not change dynamically based on their behavior.
A campaign audience generally consists of the following elements, either combined or separate:
-
Traits—system-generated groups of users who behave similarly in online banking.
-
User lists—groups of users that were already uploaded, as classified by demographics, offline behaviors, or other marketer-defined attributes.
User lists allow you to import groups of users from outside SMART and use them in campaigns. User lists can be based on demographics, offline behaviors, or other metrics that you define.
For example, you might group account holders born between 1965 and 1980. You can import a list of those account holders to create a user list called Generation X. Then, when creating a campaign, you could choose to include or exclude the Generation X users to determine whether they see ads in the campaign.
