Product tagging is the process of mapping your FI's products to the product categories in Q2 SMART. This information enables SMART to recommend specific campaigns with highly-targeted audiences. Keeping your products tagged appropriately is important for several reasons:
-
Once a product is tagged, users with that product will be related to that trait and can be targeted accordingly. For example, users with the tagged product will begin to see any associated campaigns within approximately 24 hours.
-
Once users have a specific product trait, the associated Product Recommendation trait gets set for users that are likely to adopt a product with that product tag. For more information about the Recommended traits algorithm, see Recommended audiences.
-
Product tagging allows for campaigns to report on adoptions and conversions of all products with that product tag.
The Products page includes two views—Card and List—that you can use to manage product tags.
The Name column lists your FI’s products, and the host code is the corresponding code from your FI's core. The Type and Tag columns have drop-down menus that you can use to categorize product tags. Each value selected informs the next column’s available options as you move from left to right selecting values.
Select Search and enter a text query to search for matching items in the Name column.
