Tip
This feature requires configuration by Q2 in order to be implemented. The following information is only applicable for financial institutions (FIs) that are currently using the Expired transaction status.
When enabled, the Expired status is applied to a transaction when it is in Authorized or Drafted status past the scheduled process date or if the process date is null. The Expired status will only be applied to transactions on the Transaction Queue page and the Transaction Details page. It will not return on any reports and will not display on any other back-office application aside from Q2 Transactions. In all other locations, expired transactions will continue to have a transaction status of Authorized or Drafted.
Because the Expired transaction status does not appear in the search filter, the most efficient way to search for these transactions in the Transactions Queue is to complete the following steps:
-
From the Status filter dropdown menu, select the Authorized and Drafted statuses.
-
In the Process Date filter, use the calendar to select a date or date range for the Process Date that is in the past.
-
Select .
If you select to sort the Transaction Queue by the Status column, transactions with the Expired status may be intermingled with Authorized or Drafted transactions. This is because Expired is a user interface status only and is not included in the Q2 data repository. All other transaction statuses should sort as expected.
