This free feature is only available to FIs that have Plaid integrated with their Manage External Accounts form and are configured to add and verify external accounts using Plaid.
Plaid Same Day Micro-deposits, which authenticate any bank account in the United States, is now available.
Plaid makes a deposit that posts within one business day using same-day ACH. Upon receiving the deposit, users will manually verify the code by entering the micro-deposit transaction description. Additionally, users have the option to receive an SMS message when the micro-deposit is available.
This feature allows users that experience a failure in the Instant Account Verification workflow to select a different option to connect their external accounts. Additionally, if a user would prefer to authenticate manually, they can select the entry point Link with account numbers, which appears by default in the following scenarios:

An error occurred in the Plaid link flow

The user selected an institution with poor connection

The user attempted to close the Plaid link modal without connecting to an institution

The user didn't receive a result upon searching for an institution

The user scrolled to the bottom of the institution search results
The default configuration for the Manage External Account form is updated to only show the Plaid verification option. The Q2 Micro-deposits workflow remains available for FI use.
