The Retail Auto Enrollment extension allows retail users to enroll for access to digital banking without customer service representative (CSR) intervention. Depending on your core provider, you may have access to new features.
Note
Retail Auto Enrollment is a Q2 Core Extension Product. Core Extension Products like Retail Auto Enrollment can vary depending on what your core provider supports.
To ensure a successful launch of Retail Auto Enrollment extension, we encourage you to:
-
Schedule a joint kickoff call between the Financial Institution (FI), Q2, and your core provider to ensure all parties are aware of and committed to your success.
-
Identify named technical contacts with the core vendors that can be shared across teams.
-
Identify a primary subject matter expert and driver at the FI.
-
Ensure each party can assist in facilitating connectivity to the core processor.
-
Prepare business and user information as needed.
This section describes the Retail Auto Enrollment features that can be added to your digital banking portfolio. This document describes product capability, functionality, and configurable options within the scope of Retail Auto Enrollment.
Once enabled for your FI, your users can access the Retail Auto Enrollment extension to enroll for access to digital banking. Retail Auto Enrollment users must provide information to verify their identity. Upon verification, a digital banking account is created for the user to sign on and access their account(s) with the FI.
CEP Retail Auto Enrollment supports multiple features for your FI and users based on your core provider and configurations.
The following features are available for CEP Retail Auto Enrollment for users:
-
The ability to receive retail customer demographic data by the DBBatchProcess or a real-time pass-through call with your FI's core , which is compared against the data submitted by the user.
-
The ability to send secure messages for both successful and failure attempts.
-
The ability to support blacklisting customers to not use forms either by social security number (SSN) or customer information file (CIF).
-
The ability to limit the number of attempts from an IP address (for example, 5 attempts per 60 minutes).
Note
In addition to the form based rate limit, the hosting solution will block users after 10 attempts within a 60 minute period at the network level for all forms outside of digital banking.
Customers that have an open account with your FI can enroll in digital banking through a form and link their accounts immediately.
Note
These capabilities will vary per FI depending on you core provider and configurations.
The following options are available for FIs with Retail Auto Enrollment:
-
Compare Customer Demographic data to the information manually provided by the user. This form allows the configuration of required, validated, and optional field values.
Note
Validation is case insensitive.
-
Validate information entered by the customer before creating a Customer/User/UserLogin record in the system. Enrollment fails if the user's information does not match the required Demographic data.
Note
SNN or Member number validation is made by removing non-numeric characters before comparing. In addition, required data for enrollment include address, city, state/province, ZIP/postal code, and SAC target values (mobile number and/or email address).
-
Prevent multiple enrollments for the same customer. Existing customer information is available at Customer/User and CIF/SSN levels.
Note
Users will be prompted to select a different LoginID after confirmation of the enrollment validation. The user is required to provide a new LoginID only.
-
Check for minimum age and either allow users to enroll in a different group or stop enrollment.
-
Remove or display Profile page during the initial sign on process.
-
Mask the SSN field by default for added security.
-
Use account number and type to filter enrollment to specific type groups.
Note
Account number validation is done by making demographic core calls with the Account Number and type. Please make sure if the core calls with Account number and/or type supported for a particular core and core configuration is added accordingly.
-
Support Account Linking either by CIF or SSN.
Note
Account linking is performed by the adapter during each digital banking login process. The adapter uses the CIF or SSN provided in the enrollment process to request the user's associated account.
-
Support Joint enrollments if your core provider supports it.
Note
Joint accounts can be included depending on the core and whether the E2E form sets the flag in the database, notifying the adapter to pull all accounts.
-
Designate a charge account used by the FI to apply future fees (savings or checkings).
-
Allow users to add phone numbers or email address as a SAC target during the initial sign on process.
-
Prevent deceased customer enrollment by checking the date of death or for flags from the core stating the user is deceased.
-
Add a hint to all input fields.
Tip
The SSN field input type can be changed to a password type.
-
Restrict user enrollment based on Customer Codes.
-
Send users a success message informing them that the forgot login process was executed.
-
Send secure messages to the Customer Service Representative (CSR) message group for each failed attempt. The field values and IP address are included in the secure message.
CEP Retail Auto Enrollment does not currently include certain functions, especially if functionality is out of our scope. This includes:
-
Enrolling of business users.
-
Enrolling requests that return multiple users or accounts. For example, if we do a lookup by SSN and two or more users/accounts are returned.
Note
This normally occurs for banks since they use SSN lookups. These users must be enrolled manually.
