Q2 provides digital banking users the ability to modify their document delivery preferences with your core provider and in the Q2 database, using the Document Delivery Preferences Extension. Statement delivery preferences can be set and configured at the member or account level, depending on your core capabilities.
Note
Document Delivery Preferences is a Q2 Core Extension Product. Core Extension Products like Document Delivery Preferences can vary depending on what your core provider supports.
Tip
Document Delivery Preferences replaces E-Statement Preferences.
To ensure a successful launch of Document Delivery Preferences, we encourage you to:
-
Schedule a joint kickoff call between the Financial Institution (FI), Q2, and your core provider to ensure all parties are aware of and committed to your success.
-
Identify named technical contacts with the core vendors that can be shared across teams.
-
Identify a primary subject matter expert and driver at the FI.
-
Ensure each party can assist in facilitating connectivity to the core processor.
-
Prepare business and user information, as needed.
This section describes the Document Delivery Preferences features that can be added to your digital banking portfolio and describes the product capability, functionality, and configurable options within the scope of Document Delivery Preferences.
Once enabled for your FI, your users will be able to complete the Document Delivery Preferences form to modify their eStatement preferences. Document Delivery Preferences provides the ability for your users to modify their email address, as well as provides a redirect to Address Management to change additional contact information as needed.
Tip
CEP Document Delivery Preferences has three designs—Personal, Account, and Member—that are dependent on your core provider and set configurations. The extension switches between these designs dynamically.
Depending on your core provider and set configurations, Document Delivery Preferences currently supports multiple features for both your users and your FI.

Document Delivery Preferences does not currently include certain functions, especially if functionality is out of our scope.
Caution
Dependent on your core provider and set configurations, there may be additional features that Q2 is unable to support.
Out of scope functions include:
-
Third-party integrations, such as external statements or alerts, that are expected to be addressed using links or a single sign-on (SSO).
-
The ability to generate reports, as initially configured.
-
Supportability of business or commercial workflows.
Note
Users with a large volume of accounts, comparable to what a commercial user would have, will likely experience performance issues in this extension.
Caution
Requests for core mapper logic for business or commercial use cases won't be supported by Q2.
-
The ability to provide consolidated or grouped statements.
-
The ability to retrieve or update Q2 Goals statement preferences.
-
The ability to retrieve reporting data.
-
The ability to modify core Q2 products.
Note
Other Q2 products may cover some of these areas of concern. Contact your release or implementations manager for more information.
Statement vendors and other services cannot be updated through this form. However, the Core Extension Package (which this extension is part of) interfaces with most major core providers.
No, the Document Delivery Preferences form was designed for consumer users.
You can, however, restrict Document Delivery Preferences to retail-only users by group in Q2 Console or by theme in Experience Builder (Q2 Config).
A disclosure acceptance is not stored anywhere in Q2 or otherwise.
However, you can require that a user accepts a disclosure to submit this form. If enabled, the disclosure prevents the user from submitting changes to the core without acknowledging terms and conditions.
The accounts a user can update depend on your preferences. The FI can filter accounts based on product and product type, as well as only display accounts to a primary account holder.
Note
Account filterability is dependent on your core provider and set configurations.
Secure message text can be configured by submitting a ticket with Q2 Support.
