Digital card issuance is the process of receiving a credit or debit card digitally. Once the digital card is available in the Card List, the card holder must complete the following before using the card for (non-wallet-originated) purchases:
-
Activate the card (this may happen automatically or require manual selection based on the FI's configuration).
-
View the card details.
Digital activation can happen in two ways:
-
Automatically—no action is required by the cardholder to activate the digital card. However, the cardholder must manually activate the physical card once they receive it.
-
Manually—the card holder must activate the digital card. If the user has received the physical card, they can also activate both the digital and physical card at the same time.
If a new digital card is available to the card holder and was automatically activated, a New Digital Card Arrival dialog appears:
The following options are available:
-
Close—close out of the operation.
-
Manage Card—configure your new card.
-
X—exit out of the dialog.
When a new digital card arrives, a Card Activation dialog appears:
The following options are available:
-
Cancel—cancel the operation.
-
Activate Digital—activate a digital card.
-
Activate Physical—activate both a physical and digital card.
-
X—exit out of the dialog.
Tip
If Activate Digital is selected, the card holder can activate the physical card at a later time.
Note
Depending on your FI’s configurations, activating the physical card may require additional steps, such as confirming the CVV and expiration date of the physical card.
