Note
The following article information only applies to financial institutions (FIs) who have Zones enabled in the Q2 database.
Zones in the Q2 database are used to accommodate multiple configuration sets for one FI. If your FI has multiple Zones, you can log in to one Discover environment and view all zones' guides, analytics, and data.
In the Segments page, you can create segments based on GroupID or ZoneID that you can then target to a guide.
In the Guides page, you can edit the segment of an existing guide in the guide's Settings tab, or build a new guide and select a segment that targets specific users within that Zone.
Note
FIs can only set one default theme in Q2 Discover. If you want to create a guide and each of your Zones has a different brand theme, you will need to customize the guide theme to reflect the secondary Zone's branding or theme.
In the Analytics page, you can apply one or more filters to view only the segments that relate to each of your Zones using the Segmentation tool. In the Pages tab of the Analytics page, tagging for Zones works similarly as tagging without Zones. Q2 Discover tags and passes down the pages and features that are common among FIs. If your FI has a unique page, you will need to tag that page as a Custom Page.
Tip
Q2 recommends naming custom pages or custom guides for Zones something that is easily recognizable. For example, if your custom page is for a specific FI or a sub-brand, name the custom page to indicate the respective FI or sub-brand.
If your FI chooses to implement Zones, you will be billed according to how many Zones you have. For example, if your FI has two Zones, you will be billed for one instance of Discover plus two implementation fees.
