Log in to Google using your FI’s account credentials.

Navigate to Google Tag Manager at https://tagmanager.google.com.

Select Create Account.

Fill out the Add a New Account form. Enter an Account Name for this Tag Manager account.

For the Container name field, paste in the Organization Base URL value from Salesforce. You can find this value in the Organization Base URL field on the BAO Custom Settings page in Salesforce.
Caution
Do not include the
https://
in the URL that you paste into Google Tag Manager. -
Select Web as the target platform, then select Create.

Review and accept the Google Tag Manager Terms of Service Agreement and then select Yes.

The Install Google Tag Manager window opens. This logic is automatically included in your BAO configuration, so you do not need to do anything with the code provided. Select OK.

From the Workspace page of Tag Manager, copy out the generated Workspace ID (it will start with GTM) from the right side of the screen and save it to a text file. This unique value will be entered in the Tag Manager ID field on the BAO Custom Settings page in Salesforce to allow Google to track user actions within your BAO application workflow.

Next, you will need to push your setup live to begin tracking user actions. Once you publish your changes, user data tracking will begin, and you can view standard Google Analytics variables in real-time (30-minute increments) and as summarized information that is updated every 24 to 48 hours. Select Submit > Publish and Create Version > Publish .

Google’s standard variables are now set up to track basic traffic across the BAO application portal.
